The Health & Safety Executive’s (HSE) new #WorkRight campaign required a short inspiring launch film for use at events and on social media. With the vast majority of British business being comprised of small to medium enterprises (SMEs) – companies made up of fewer than 50 people – health and safety can often be put to one side or forgotten about entirely. The campaign, and the launch animation, intended to improve small business health and safety capability, motivating them to take action to manage workplace risk around health and safety and provide the opportunity for them to engage with HSE.
We developed a look and feel that balanced HSE’s aims and objectives with the desire to highlight key messaging while giving a quality feel. The use of facial character rigging allowed us to incorporate emotion – engaging with key audiences who regularly ask themselves about health and safety in the workplace.
The resulting film was extremely well received and was shared with SME organisations across the country as part of the wider #WorkRight campaign, which continues to this day.
